The John Butler Trio has released its new album, Grand National, and will be launching it with a special show at Melbourne’s Federation Square on Easter Thursday April 5. The once off performance will see the trio playing the new album with the musicians who helped make it, including the horn section, string section, Vika and Linda Bull, Jex Saarelaht and more. The Triple J Live music team and JTV live will be recording the event for broadcast at a later date. Aside from this special show the band will be playing festival dates in Sydney, Byron Bay and Perth during late March / early April. A national album launch tour will be forthcoming.
